Compton Care

Care & support for families living with incurable conditions

What a year 2020 has been. Everyone has found themselves having to adapt to a whole new way of working as the world gets to grips with the COVID19 pandemic.

Many many businesses and organisations have been badly affected by the lockdown period, having to completely change the way they work, if they can, in order to survive.

As we have seen the virus placed an incredible strain on our NHS and we have seen some amazing offers of support from all across the country.

Our client Compton Care reached out to their local Wolverhampton NHS hospitals, making beds available for those patients who were sadly unable to recover from the virus.

Like many charities, Compton Care relies on it's many supporters, fund raising at large events like sponsored marathons and bike rides. These events have all been cancelled this year, putting a huge dent in charity income.

Working with our Marketing Communication partner, SixtyOne, in Oxford, we devised a direct mail appeal to Compton Care supporters.

At a time when vast amounts of communications are conducted by email and digital marketing, we felt there was a strong case for producing a traditional direct mail campaign. This consisted of a letter with a response form, a postcard and a simple but eye-catching outer envelope.

The campaign got a lot of attention. Partly due to timing, partly due to design and partly because it stood out so well when it landed on supporters doorsteps. To date that campaign has been incredibly successful for Compton Care. They have seen not only substantial one off donations but also a large increase in the regular monthly supporters. This will all add up to financial support in the region of £75,000 at the end of the year.

We are absolutely delighted for them and thankful to their generous supporters. These funds will help them continue their vital work in the community especially during these challenging times.

If you are a charity who are looking to explore marketing and fundraising activities, we would be delighted to talk things through.
